Sarah E. Heck
A native of Brownsburg and a graduate of Brownsburg High School, Sarah is happy to be practicing in her hometown. She brings extensive experience in the areas of estate planning, probate, and elder law to the practice. Sarah received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Maine and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Classics from Bowdoin College. After practicing law in the state of Maine for nearly 10 years, Sarah returned home to open her practice in Brownsburg in 2009.

E.J. Last
A 2016 graduate of the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, from which she received her Juris Doctorate, E.J. assists clients primarily with probate and guardianship matters and prides herself on making overwhelming situations manageable for her clients. E.J. also holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Chicago.

Annette Baye
Annette is a native Hoosier and grew up in Indianapolis. After working in healthcare management for several years in New York City, she decided to return to her hometown to attend law school. She received her Juris Doctorate in 2022 from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from ORU, Tulsa, Oklahoma. She looks forward to helping clients across practice areas, with a focus on estate planning.

Of Counsel - Barbara J. Baird
For more than 30 years, Barbara has assisted clients with their needs for wills, trusts, advance directives, adoptions and probate administration. Barbara is joining the firm as Of Counsel after being in solo practice in Indianapolis for more than 20 years, where she also focused on providing protections for same sex couples and LGBT individuals in areas such as estate planning, marriage equality, second parent adoptions and gender marker changes for transgender clients. Barbara is admitted to practice law in Indiana, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. She is a graduate of Indiana University Maurer School of Law and has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Allegheny College, Meadville, Pennsylvania.

Tanner ~ Office Dog
Shortly after being rescued from Indianapolis Animal Care and Control in 2012, Tanner assumed his post as office dog. After a 10 year probationary period during which time he was not allowed to meet clients, he was cleared for his current responsibilities: greeting clients, eating treats in the lobby, escorting clients to attorneys' offices, napping quietly in meetings, and ushering clients to the exit. He is still working on learning sit, down, and stay.
